Privacy & data
Public evidence, plainly handled.
Effective 16 September 2026
WhoMojo does not create fan accounts, run advertising trackers, collect payment information, or store leaderboard search queries. Creator profiles are assembled from public webpages and named editorial sources. We do not use private social-account data or claim access to creators' private analytics.
Visitor measurement
We record first-party, limited events such as page views, creator-profile views, outbound-link clicks, backing, sharing and claim-form activity. Records may include the page, creator, referring website, an anonymous browser identifier and time. We do not sell this information or use third-party advertising trackers.
Weekly backing
A random identifier is stored in your browser so one backing choice can be enforced each week. To reduce automated or repeated voting, the server temporarily compares a one-way cryptographic hash derived from network information; raw network addresses are not stored in the backing database. Backing is free and does not alter the independent editorial score.
Creator profiles
Public profile information may include a creator's name, public handle, category, reported audience figures, public activity and links to supporting sources. Scores are editorial estimates, not statements of fact or measures of personal worth. Evidence confidence is shown on each profile.
Creator images
Creator images are sourced from public creator profiles or clearly credited editorial and Wikimedia pages and are used for identification. Rights remain with their respective owners. Creators and rights holders may request an updated image or removal using the contact below.
Claims, corrections and removal
Creators and their representatives may submit a claim containing their name, work email, verification link and requested changes. We retain it to verify the claimant and manage the request. Claiming a profile does not improve its score or ranking. You can also send the profile URL and requested change to hello@whomojo.com.
Weekly chart email
If you join the weekly drop, we store your email address so we can send WhoMojo chart updates. A one-way network hash may be used to reduce automated signups; raw network addresses are not stored in the subscriber database. You can unsubscribe from any edition or ask us to remove your address by emailing hello@whomojo.com. We do not sell or share the list for advertising.
Creator nominations
A nomination may include a creator name, public profile link, reason and an optional nominator email. We use nominations to decide who to research next, not to sell contact information or automatically change rankings. A one-way network hash helps limit automated submissions.
Contact
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include and use it only to respond to your enquiry. You can ask us to delete that correspondence.
Future integrations
Before creator accounts, social-platform connections or payments launch, this notice will be updated to explain exactly what information is collected, why it is used and how creators can control it.
